Spring Decor Ideas

Spring is the time of year when people come out of hibernation and really start thinking about the space that they are living in. It is the season for spring cleaning, and refreshing interior pick-me-ups. Spring decor (unlike spring cleaning) doesn’t need to take a great deal of time and effort. It doesn’t need to cost a fortune either. You can change the look and feel of your Pod by adding in some vibrant and cheery features to make it feel fresh and ready for the warmer months ahead.

Fresh Plants and Flowers

Spring is the season of new life. With the increased sunlight, plants really begin to blossom, flourish and thrive. Add some life and vibrancy to your space by incorporating fresh plants. You do not need a green thumb to have fresh plants as part of your decor. Plants such as succulents require little maintenance. If you don’t want to commit to caring for plant long-term, why not add a vase of fresh flowers for a pop of colour? Try showcasing seasonal flowers such as cherry blossom, tulips, peonies, pink roses and sweet pea.

Sheepskin Rug

Spring is here, but there is still a chill in the air. If you want to take the chill off, but still keep your house in theme with the season – try a sheepskin rug. They are a great way to add texture to rooms and don’t need to look wintery if the rest of the room is kept clean and free from clutter. Opt for a lighter colour such as white or cream to keep it relevant to the spring season. Try not to have more than one cosy texture (such as chunky knit or faux fur) in one room for spring.

Patterned Cushions

Cushions in bright hues and interesting patterns and designs can create interest and excitement in a space. They are a quick and cost-effective way to change up the look of your space, without really having to change much at all. The spring season is associated with bright colours and quirky designs –  think florals, geometric or abstract patterns.
